a colon before pages cited

I am wondering if it would adversely affect anyone's formatting if I requested to Jon that :, would be replaced with just : during the final text clean-up for formatting.
The reason is that SBL style (annoyingly) asks that cited pages for Journals end the format:
eg.- Danny Zacharias, "World's Best Article," BE 1 (2006): 10.
Other than this reference type (which is obviously very common in paper writing) the Bookends ability to precede and close the cited pages with a comma and period works with everything else. If the final find and replace could replace :, with : it would fix this minor inconvenience.
Please respond to this thread if this would ruin your formatting.
