Doubt on use of $...$ in format manager

Hi,

I'm trying to customize Chicago 15th. I have a few articles without a page range which I'd like to cite like that anyway. (This is at fault with citation guidelines, I know...) If I leave the format as it is, I get the following result:

Cucu, R. "Why Isn't..." Journal of X History 47 (1987):

I thought that the way to do this is:

a. "t." f v$.$i` `(d)$: $p-.

But the result is:

Cucu, R. "Why Isn't..." Journal of X History 47 (1987

Does anybody have a clue of how to get back the closing parenthesis and the final period?

Also, will the modified changes be saved in the user library folder or I have to do a backup of the application folder?

Thanks,
Amilcar

Hi,

You can force the closing paren like this:

`)`

If you made a *New* format *based on Chicago 15th*, Bookends will save it in your Custom Formats folder. If you simply edited the original, you'll need to move it there yourself to avoid it's replacment the next time you upgrade.
