Transferred to new MacBook, problem with Mellel + Bookends

I was using Bookends + Mellel without difficulty on my old PowerBook G4, but the other day I switched to a MacBook and discovered a minor problem. It used to be that when I hit apple-Y in Bookends, the citation would be pasted into Mellel as an object. Now, when I hit apple-Y, Bookends copies the citation to the clipboard and I have to manually paste it into Mellel. The result is a {...} citation. I then have to convert the {...} form to objects, which I prefer.
Is this something I can fix in a Preference somewhere, or is it a glitch related to Rosetta? The "scan the document" feature in Mellel still works (Bookends responds, creates the citations and bibliographies, then Mellel creates a new document with everything as it should be); I just can't get Bookends to automatically paste objects into Mellel.

Have you have set Mellel as your default word processor in Bookends' Preferences?

Yes, Mellel is the default word processor in Bookends.

Hi,
I don't see this behavior on my Intel Mac. Make sure you have the latest Mellel. I *do* see an oddness though, and that is Mellel doesn't come to the front (put the citation is inserted). I think these are issues with Mellel and not Bookends (since we haven't changed our code at all for this function). Please contact the Redlers...we can work it out together if we have to, but I can't reproduce it here. Can anyone else?

I have the exact same problem on my new MacBook. I'm using a completely fresh install of the newest versions of both Mellel and Bookends. If there's any other questions I can answer about my setup that might help with troubleshooting, please let me know.

I just downloaded the latest build of Mellel and tried again -- in my hands, Command-Y in Bookends brings Mellel to the front and inserts the citation.
I contacted RedleX about this last week, and they couldn't reproduce the problem either.
So while there is obviously a problem for some people, it does seem to be setup-specific.
One minor thing to check -- in Bookends set your default word processor (in Preferences) again. Unlikely to make a difference, I th ink, but worth trying.

I had set my default word processor correctly before, but I checked it again anyway. I didn't change it or anything else, but the next day when I used Bookends + Mellel again... everything worked.

Good. Maybe a log out/log in or a reboot is what did it? Anyway, for anyone else experiencing this, that's worth a try.
