I've been trying to get RIS-formatted citations from SpringerLink into Bookends, but importing a reference from the clipboard fails. SpringerLink is well-known for not working with CiteULike, so it doesn't surprise me that much. But looking through the RIS it generates, I can't see anything wrong:

You have to compare the text you are trying to import to what the filter is expecting.

Open the Bookends RIS filter and you'll see that it expects references to begin with

TY

(Type), which does not appear in the SpringerLink output.

You can make a new filter based on our RIS filter (name it SpringerLink RIS), and enter

T1

in the "References start with:" textbox.

This assumes, of course, that SpringerLink is consistent in its output...
