Problematic formatting with CBE & American Antiquity

Hi - I didn't see any posts on this issue when I searched. If there's already been a post about this, please point me to it.
When I use the CBE (Council of Biology Editors, now Council of Science Editors) format, I get weird results using the Edited Book type of reference. I believe this is just an issue with the CBE format, because when I change to other formats, I have no problems.
Here are some examples -
CBE:
Environmental Change and Human Adaptation in the Ancient American Southwest. 2006.
[note the missing editors, publisher, city, etc.]
Chicago 15th A:
Doyel, David E, and Jeffrey S Dean, (eds.) Environmental Change and Human Adaptation in the Ancient American Southwest. Salt Lake City: University of Utah Press, 2006.
When I add in a fake series title & volume number -
CBE:
Environmental Change and Human Adaptation in the Ancient American Southwest. Fake Series 12006.
[note the same problems as above, with the volume number jammed up against the year]
Chicago 15th A:
Doyel, David E, and Jeffrey S Dean, (eds.) Environmental Change and Human Adaptation in the Ancient American Southwest. Vol. 1, Fake Series. Salt Lake City: University of Utah Press, 2006.
I also use the American Antiquity (incorrectly designated "Antiquities" in the list) format. When I format the above example using that style, it looks like my "fake series" and volume number don't show up:
Doyel, David E, and Jeffrey S Dean (editors)
2006 Environmental Change and Human Adaptation in the Ancient American Southwest. University of Utah Press, Salt Lake City.
Has anyone noticed this before? These are problems for me.
