FYI I reached out to PSPDFKit and they have started tracking the bug internally. They requested I let the Sonny Software team know of the ticket number (24664).

Zoom bug in PDF reader?
Hi I have found what I think is a bug in the PDF reader in Bookends for iOS. When viewing a long PDF (in this case it is a textbook that is 1,000+ pages long), if I pinch to zoom out beyond 100% the way the reader suddenly jumps the page back 100-200 pages.
