Matthias, you're silly -- or just cheap. SuperDuper! is more flexible than CCC, and works perfectly under Tiger! Erratic Wanderer of the seas: Silly or cheap?! Well, neither nor, I guess. Rather, still in the clutches Calypso...you've just shown me the way back home to Ithaca... Hi Matthias, I take...

RE backup-- I've been trying to make an image of the entire HD, but have found it hard going trying to get instructions on doing exactly what I had in mind I have been able to make bootable backups (clones) of an iBook with Tiger installed, using Mimmac. Worked like a charm. If you need more info, ...

8.0.3 can't open custom format

After upgrading, I get an error 'Can't open format! Error: .47' I use a custom format, placed in Application Support/Bookends/Custom formats. I copied it to the Bookends format-folder, but the error remains. I have had no problems with the format before, and haven't changed it lately. Other formats ...

OK, double clicking made it editable. I added \, 124-132\ right after the text. But the result is still the same, the dot is still there.

I will have a look at those Cited Pages.

<time passing>

I took a look at Cited Pages and tested it. That works just like I want it!

Thanks,

Adding pages in footnote

I use a format for my references that ends with a dot. I then add the page numbers (in Mellel, just adding , p. 124-132, because Mellel doesn't work with { }, and I cannot edit the text highlighted in blue). So before scanning, it looks like this: Brunt, 1971, Social conflicts in the Roman republic,...

Just tested adding the page number in the reference. Indeed, no duplicates in the bibliography.

Time to change my methods I think.

Hi Jon, I did see that option. I preferred the reference duplication however, because I couldn't work out a convenient way to register all those pages within that single reference AND to be able to quickly locate that particular page when I need it. With duplicated references, I can give each refere...

Remove duplicates from bibliography (aka Citations List)

I read about an issue with duplicates in the Citation List on the Mellel forum. The scenario used there is not the one that I use, but I also come across duplicates (not in the database, but in the bibliography). My case is this: I enter data for a book in a new reference. When I do detailed researc...
