Column resizing in 12
Not sure if this is a bug, a limitation, by design, etc... When trying to change the width of a column by dragging the right edge, the column can only be resized until the column to the right reaches a minimum width, then it stops. In my experience with other applications, when this point was reache...

Re: Bookends 12 released
Order placed. Assuming I will actually have to wait until "early evening" for the serial, is there anyway to use the beta a bit longer to get past the 50 reference limit? Trying to prepare a bib for my dissertation proposal and I used the beta enough that I can't go back to 11. If not, no ...

Re: Bookends 12 public beta available
I'm sure this is a tricky question, but have you all settled on a price for 12? Will there be a "full" price and an "upgrade" price? If you're waiting until the actual launch to reveal this, that's cool, but any info you can give would be appreciated.

Re: "Icon Only"?
(Way) late to seeing this response, but yes, I understood there was no 12 when I commented. The point was that when 12 is released*, small things like that (and big things, of course) will compel me to consider other options. I like Bookends well enough, but sorry to say this is not a loyalty thing ...

Re: Updating without erasing settings?
I prefer to edit references in "In: Reference Window." The last few times I've updated Bookends, that setting appears to have defaulted back to "In: Library Window." It's certainly possible something else is happening, but it appears to coincide with an update of the software.

Updating without erasing settings?
It seems that everytime I update Bookends (download dmg, copy to Applications) I lose some of my settings (particularly, "Edit References" setting). Am I updating wrong? Or is there a way to preserve those settings?

Re: "Icon Only"?
Personally, I dislike the icon-only view. But it may be something we add when Bookends is Cocoa. This is why it's good to provide the option. That way, everyone's happy. You can have the not-icon-only view, and I can have icon-only (or perhaps text-only on an 11.6" screen). I do know I'm less ...

"Icon Only"?
Bookends is the only program I have that does not have an "Icon only" setting for the toolbar. Is there a chance of seeing this in a future release? On a small monitor like an 11.6" Macbook Air, that little bit of space would b nice to reclaim.

Window position not stored locally?
I'm using DropBox to sync my Bookends library between my desktop and laptop. Generally speaking, it handles this quite well. My only complaint is that i appears the window position of a given library is stored in the library file itself, rather than in a local preferences file. I can certainly under...

BoT not syncing all Static Groups. Some groups empty
Not sure why, but after syncing BoT with Bookends, not all of my groups are showing up. Some of the ones that ARe showing up, are empty. All references have been synced, however, so it appears to just be a problem with the groups. I selected "All References" on sync and deselected "At...

Re: Horizontal scrollbar in List View driving me nuts
I thought I would return to this thread only to explain why I now realize the horizontal scroll bar is driving me nuts: I'm on an 11" Macbook Air and a horizontal scroll means "data is off-screen." When no data is off-screen, it is an annoyance to have a visual representation of a sta...

Re: Horizontal scrollbar in List View driving me nuts
No, I understand that (thanks for checking). It's the far right line that's the trick. If I have three columns, I can resize 1 & 2, no sweat. It's #3 I want to resize as well, so it fits within the window. I can only do it with the "bug" I mentioned above. Otherwise, scrolling all the ...
