ahh i just found this recent post, but am still a little unsure... http://www.sonnysoftware.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=973 So heres what i have done: i goto preferences, set user 4 in field labels to DOI, set for in press reference types. then edit my default format add field DOI for my in press art...

Fab, unfortunately it doesnt work across sync'ed databases for some reason, even though the computers are mirrored. Jon please tell me this is the only update that this reattaching will happen on...:)

yes works fine, have not encountered any recognition problems at all.
so long as bookends files are not open at time of sync, syncs are fine with no errors.
Make sure the permissions are set as described above.

I reset the permissions to read/write for all user, system and groups, for each library, (on both computers) seems to work fine now.

Hi, I am considering using chronosync as i now have a mac mini and a laptop.

Did the problem with bookends libraries resolve?

I tried a demo backup and it refused to replace the libraries ("?permissions error").

ok Jon, is there a way to see if a ref has an attachment in the list without opening its individual ref window. would save making a group for those i dont have pdf's for (which is lots), but need to search or ask around for. is this a worthwhile feature, could it be incorporated into a smart group? ...
