Apple Pages & AppleScript (El Capitan update)

Saw that Pages has better AppleScript support, and was curious if this brought new prospects for interacting with Bookends... :?:

Re: MS Word plugin – will it work with the new 2016 release?

I've just made a silent update that should fix the problem with automatic paste of a scanned document into Word 2016. Thanks Jon, it works great. I simply copied the scripts from the Bookends folder to a new folder under the scripts menu as so, using Terminal: $ mkdir ~/Library/Scripts/Applications...

Ah, yes, that seems to be why; you can tell I haven't used Word in years

Re: MS Word plugin – will it work with the new 2016 release?

Attachment field in smart group filters

Hi Jon, Is there a way, or would it be feasible, to directly select references that have no attached file (or at least no link to an attached file)? At the moment I have a clunky workaround involving starring all citations that have an attachment then creating a smart group of unstarred citations. O...

Re: Mac app for annotating PDFs (non Preview/Adobe)

PDFpenPro… Not perfect, but feature-rich (OCR, redaction, editing of the pdf itself, etc.) and it syncs seamlessly with its companion iOS apps if you use iCloud.

Monitor attachments folder

Hi All. Is it (or would it be) possible for BE to monitor it's specified attachments folder for new pdfs that are added by another app? Point in case: I'd like BE to detect when Papers adds a PDF to that folder, and have BE auto-complete the corresponding ref (e.g. from PubMed or Google Scholar), wi...
