Document too big for Bookends?
44 pages with double-spacing, containing about 30 figures, whole file size <9MB. In Word 2011, when I use the script on the menu bar and click on scan active document, the Mac beach ball came on spinning and basically crashed Word. I've heard from a colleague who enquired about this problem quite so...

Scanning documents and creating bibliography
I've been a long time Bookends supporter. Last week, my colleague showed me the new version of Papers which seamlessly scan, unscan, update bibliography list to a Word document without ever leaving the document. This is a huge difference to how Bookends scan which involves: Making a duplicate of the...

Re: Scan document - missed out the refs in captions
Thanks Jon. Now I think the problem lies in setting my figure to "Object causes wrap" and typing in my caption immediately after my figure, so somehow it prevents BE from recognising the references. Now I uncheck "Object causes wrap" on my figure, then add an extra blank line bef...

Scan document - missed out the refs in captions
Hi, I'm using Pages '09 and Bookend 11.1.1 (in the process of downloading and upgrading). I've had this problem for a while: My references in the "Caption" paragraph style I've defined and used for text underneath my figures, did not get picked up by document scan almost in all cases (out ...

Re: Customise the generated bibliography list
P.S. The webform deleted my extra spacing / indent I wanted to demonstrate in my example above after clicking submit.

Customise the generated bibliography list
I've tried searching the forum but my search terms were too common to be accepted. Also looked everywhere in Bookends and couldn't find a way to do this, although I'm 50% sure I've done this before but can't remember how... I've probably done it manually. The generated list looks something like this...

Re: Easy drag n drop pdf from attached reference to email
That's true.
What about in the Action Menu, add a "Enable pdf attachment drag and drop" option? That'd be more obvious and if I had seen that the first time I wouldn't have needed to post on here in the first place.
Cheers.

Re: Easy drag n drop pdf from attached reference to email
I would suggest to make "Use WebKit to display pdfs" in the Action menu unchecked by default in your next update, so that people like me who likes to drag and drop stuff in the Mac fashion would have it to work the first time we try doing it.
Cheers.

Re: Easy drag n drop pdf from attached reference to email
Thanks Jon. Problem easily solved!
The "Use WebKit to display pdfs" was checked by default, and I didn't know that prohibited me to drag the .pdf to anywhere at all (I have obviously tried before asking on here).

Easy drag n drop pdf from attached reference to email
I like the attachment function a lot so I can organise all my papers within Bookends, without having to build a folder system myself in Finder. However, if I want to send a paper to someone either by email or drag it to someone's USB stick, within Bookends I can't find an easy way to do this. The on...
