I have a similar situation regarding Ibid. In my case, I have a footnote that falls between Source X and its following Ibid, but the citation in that intervening footnote is in plain text, not linked in from Bookends. Obviously Bookends can't possibly know this.
Would it be possible to use a ...

Sync problems on large wireless network
When I initially purchesed BOT, I tried syncing it at home on a private wireless network. No problems at all.
But now that I'm back at university, I can't get BE and BOT to see each other. The university network has multiple wireless access points and multiple subnets running. I can be in the same ...

Re: JSTOR broken again?
Sorry to sound like a broken record, but JSTOR must have fiddled with things (yet) again.
I can run a search and get results, but when I try to import any of the hits, nothing ends up in the database.

JSTOR broken again?
Importing from JSTOR was working fine for me last week. This week, however, I can't seem to get anything to import, neither from the JSTOR browser nor the Bookends browser. Have they changed something yet again?

Re: Secondary output with multiple citations
I've also been struggling with secondary outputs, and it's the strangest problem.
When there is a second footnote reference, it looks fine but the *first* one gets output with an extra period before the page number.

Re: Using links and metatypes as siblings
I could, but as you say, not very elegant and extra work. Since I've got the links there anyway, I'd love to be able to use them in a reciprocal fashion and have it all done automatically (actually, when I first saw links, I thought that that's what they were for). I hope you let the idea percolate ...

Re: Using links and metatypes as siblings
So, what do I need then to use then instead of [t] in order to get the information from "the other" entry, no matter whether "the other" is a parent or a child? As you can see from my samples above, example #1 is fine and useful, but example #2 is not.

Re: Using links and metatypes as siblings
OK, first off, I'm probably wrong in including metatypes, so ignore that bit.
I've created a custom format called 'Annotated Bibliography.' The format for journal articles (for example) goes like this:
a. “t.” f v$, no. $i` `(d): p-.
y
`Keywords: `k
`See also:` [t]

Using links and metatypes as siblings
I'd like to request a feature dealing with links.
I'm trying to construct a format that lets me build a kind of annotated bibliography -- not for publication, but more for my own research, keeping track of important authors and issues and debates. Each entry has the full citation, ref type, list ...
