Re: Bookends 12.5 Feedback
I would +1 the need for having larger space for the "journal title," "Book title," and "series title" fields. This is, for my purposes, far too small -- though not changed from the previous version. I would also +1 to having the "publisher" and "place&quo...

Re: Format question: chapter without ed., article without is
I am concerned with footnotes (should have mentioned that earlier) here rather than bibliography, and the formatting for book chapter in footnotes I have is: a, “t,” $in $v,$ ed. $e (l: u, d). However, the force quote option worked fine. Thanks. Regarding the "0" issue, that is a good ques...

Format question: chapter without ed., article without issue
Hi I am using the standard Chicago 16th A, and when formatting either a book chapter without an editor, or a journal article without an issue number, the output contains no space before the bracket: Article: Johannes Blauw, “Das Missionsdenken in den Niederlanden 1945-1955,” Evangelisches Mission-ma...

Crash on Scan
Hi I am running Word (mac) 14.2.2 and Bookends 11.3 and when I scan a document Bookends crashes. It runs through all the citations, but then simply Bookends simply quits. There is no 'crash' message that appears. I restarted the computer and repeated scan. Same result. I rebuild my BD. Same result. ...

Re: Migrate/Export bookends
Thanks Jon
I also need to export something to Citavi (which is the standard here in Gemany), so would it be possible to have a script to insert the attachment path in the xml export? I do not know what this would mean, so if it is an impolite request please dismiss it as my ignorance.

Re: Migrate/Export bookends
Hi I am now trying to export a sample of references with attached PDFs to an endnote library. I use the endnotes XML plus attachments and save this to a folder. The folder then contains a file named *.bdb.xml and the related attachments. When i attempt to import this into Endnote X5 all of the refer...

Re: Author surname only in repeated citation
Hi Jon I have done this, but the problems, as I have discovered, seems to be related to the tick box on the far left of the database. When this is unchecked the surname only element works, but when the document is scanned each reference in the document becomes checked again and the full name appears...

Author surname only in repeated citation
Hi
Sorry if this is a newbie question, but I am trying to find a way to have in repeated footnote citations only the surname of the author to appear. My default style is Chicago 15th A. I have looked in the "formats manager" but see no clear way to accomplish this. Thanks in advance
