10.4.4 "Out of Bound" error as attaching PDF to reference

Sometimes I got "out of bound" error when I tried to attach the PDF file to its reference record in 10.4.4 but I never found such error in 10.4.3. Is there any solution or trick to prevent such problem?

Hi,

That was fixed shortly after release. Anyone who encounters the "out of bounds" error when doing an online search or importing a pdf should download 10.4.4 again. This would apply to only those who downloaded Bookends within a few hours after its release.

Hi,

I’m getting a modal alert with the same error as soon as I open the “Online Search” window, or sometimes just as I press Enter to start a search. As soon as I press Ok in the dialog, a new one appears, effectively rendering the whole program unusable.

Sorry I didn’t explicitly mention it but I had just replaced the .app with a copy I downloaded minutes before my posting.

I only replaced the .app package out of fear that I might overwrite some of my settings (bib formats, actually.) If you do not believe I should worry about it, I can replace the whole /Applications/Bookends folder.

Sorry about that -- I did a silent update last night to fix another minor issue and inadvertently used an older build of Bookends. I've uploaded the correct one now, so please download 10.4.4 again and Online Search should work.

Thanks for the update. "Out of Bound" errors for both PDF attaching and google scholar search are gone in the latest revised 10.4.4.
