Insert citation into Word just pastes text?

I have spent hours trying to get Bookends to enter scannable citations into Word 2008. When I use the applescript, the text for the citation appears, however it is not a field, just text. When I try to scan, Bookends asks about everything: the author, the date, the citation number, etc. for every citation. Is this what is supposed to happen? I've searched through the manual and the forums without any luck. Thanks for any clues...

Hi,

Yes, it is just text. Make sure you have left the citation delimiter as semicolon (in Bookends preferences). If you've set it to comma, and are not using BibText, you'll have problems.
