Find and Replace

Post by spd »

Am I missing something here? In earlier versions, I was able to execute a find/replace function no problem (many titles have a space before and after the colon, which is improper formatting). Now, however, even though I enter the same information, nothing happens.

Thanks in advance.

Hi spd,

Sounds like this may be due to a bug in REGEX searches for word break characters. It was discovered and fixed after the initial 8.0.4 release. Please download 8.0.4 again, and let me know if it works now.

Jon,

I downloaded the lastest version and it didn't solve the problem. Find/replace still does not work correctly. Strange, since it worked well before. Any other suggestions?

I don't know -- I just tried a Replace ALL with

Find ' : '
Replace ': '

in all fields or just the Title field (two separate times) and it worked fine.

Please send me a screen snap of your Find/Replace dialog after you have set it up.

That's exactly what I did. Strange.

Thanks.
