Hanging indent: should it show in the "formatted" window?

When I am inputting references, there is a place where I was able to check a box for Hanging Indents, for the bibliography. It seems to me that some of the examples showed up in the formatted window below the ref listing in that hanging indented format. But none of my references have the indent when they are selected and appear in that window. Is that normal, and it should still be properly indented when I send the refs to the bibliography?

Hanging indents don't show up in the Bibliography Window or the formatted pane. They will show up in your word processor. Try it.
