problem with missing „index.xml“

Hello I have just done a scan of a document in pages 09, snow leopard, whenever I want to open the scanned document I get the message: "Die erforderliche Datei „index.xml“ fehlt." (index.xml missing). the pages 09 document cannot be opened and at the same time bookends freezes - I can see the bookends-window but it does not react anymore.

The pages-document was started with a bookends-library to which I have no access anymore as I had to continue work on a different computer.
I am now working with the last backup of the original bookends-file from the original library that I could find and have added a few bibliographic entries to it.

The problem occurs whenever I scan a pages 09 document based on the same bibliographic data. I have tried creating new documents with a section from the original pages 09 file.
The problem is the same.

The error means that the scan was not completed (the index.xml file contains the text of the document, and is created when the scan is complete). I'm not sure exactly what you are doing, but have you tried rebuilding your database? If so, and the problem persists, you should contact tech support for help.
