Using Full Citations in Different Chapters of Same Document

Post by russdquinn »

I have all six chapters of my dissertation set up as different sections in one Mellel document.
The style guide calls for the notes in each chapter to reset their numbering and use full citations of each source as though it is being used for the first time.
Mellel allows me to reset the note numbering for each section.
I have not been able to figure out how to get Bookends to reset to using full citations for the first entry of resources that were cited in a previous chapter in a new section.

Is there a way to do that? Or will I need to separate my chapters into different documents to accomplish this?

Hi,

You have to scan each chapter separately. The ability to scan chapters independently even though they reside in the same document would require a far amount of development effort by both RedleX and us. If this is a feature you'd like to see, please place request with RedleX, too.

You'd have to save each one as a separate file, then scan each file.
