I really like the new toolbar in Bookends 11 (and look forward to customising some day!). However, I noticed a small UI slip: clicking the "new" button lets you add new references, groups, smart groups etc. Combined with the "delete" icon next to it, these two icons basically cover all of the functionality that the small icons in the bottom left corner are meant to cover.
With the toolbar it is perhaps time to remove these bottom left icons (i.e. the "+"-icon and the gear wheel icon)?
"New"-button in toolbar
Re: "New"-button in toolbar
Hi,
The action (gear) popup does other things, too, like flatten group list hierarchy and set the boolean operation for multiple selections. But the Add button probably should go. Anyone object to removing it?

I didn't think of that. Perhaps the action/gear icon could go in the toolbar as well?Jon wrote:The action (gear) popup does other things, too, like flatten group list hierarchy and set the boolean operation for multiple selections. But the Add button probably should go.
Loving version 11, by the way!
