Ed. and trans.

Post by kjmatthews »

According to MLA, if the same person listed in a bibliographic entry has more than one role, those roles should be listed together. This usually takes the form "Kyle Matthews, ed. and trans." Am I correct that the only ways to do this in Bookends are to edit the generated bibliography manually, or to define a separate user field for when the editor(s) and translator(s) is/are the same person/people?

Bookends can't infer different roles. You have to make them explicit. You can to this in the reference itself, then modify the format so that it outputs both (if present).
