Error 22 when using Online Search...

Post by redsound »

The most recent version of Bookends.

"Online Search..." in all sites gives me the error 22. Could anyone offer a solution?

Thank you.

No problems here. Just tried Library of Congress, Amazon and a German library and used the Bookends browser – all without any issues…

That means there is some local problem. If you are behind a proxy, make sure the proxy settings in System Preferences are set correctly.

Thank you. The corrected proxy setting solves the problem.

Hi, I am also experiencing this problem, but only with some not all (e.g. British Library). Sorry if this is real ignorant question, but although I note the solution with correct proxy settings - can anyone say if this mean that I need to enter my British Library username and password in the proxy settings? If so, what about other sites affected?

I can't speak for any other sites, but the British Library changed and the filter in the current Bookends build won't work. I've modified it so it will work, and have uploaded the new version of the filter to our import filter ftp site. You can also write directly to me (support@sonnysoftware.com), if you prefer, and I'll send it to you.
