Corollary of Orphaned Attachments?

I understand that "Remove Orphaned Attachments..." removes an attached file from a reference if the file cannot be located. However, the file remains in the Attachment folder. Is there a way to instruct the database to move files that are not attached to any reference to the Trash or to a designated folder?

No, there isn't. But remember that many people have multiple databases. A pdf that's not attached to the open database may be attached to a reference in another.
