' (apostrophe) replaced by ›

Post by DonRamiro »

Hello,

I'm experiencing a strange bug with Bookends : when I past a formatted citation from bookends to any of my text application, all the apostrophes ' are replaced by this sign › (which is not the regular "more than" sign I never saw this one). The behavior is the same when I scan a document : the result is that apostrophes are replaced by this. For instance, a book called (in French) :
"L'adulte retrouvé" in bookends will appears like :
"L›adulte retrouvé" in any of my text application.

How could I solve this problem ?

Sounds like you have smart quotes enabled in Bookends preferences (using Guillemets). Turn that off (or set it to English) and you'll get the regular apostrophe (or smart apostrophe) back.
