Hi,
Lion looks like it's being released today - are there any issues with Bookends that we're aware of (which would stop me upgrading)?
Thanks
Any Lion Issues?
Re: Any Lion Issues?
None I'm aware of. But once Lion is in the hands of millions of users we'll find out. Perhaps others can comment in this thread once they upgrade to Lion.

Re: Any Lion Issues?
I have just updated BE to the latest version and upon first restart, it came with prompt saying it installed some components in the library. Otherwise than that, no problems, FYI.

Thanks for the report (the notice that it's installing support files is intentional and occurs on all versions of Mac OS X).

Re: Any Lion Issues?
I'm getting lots of spinning beach ball pauses with Lion and the latest bookends (updated yesterday). I think that this has to do with time machine running in the background. It may be locking some files that cause bookends to pause with the spinning beach ball (for maybe a minute at a time). It's frustrating. I'll report back if I can narrow down the cause...
Re: Any Lion Issues?
I doubt what you're seeing is due to Lion. I've had no other reports, and no personal problem using Bookends, Lion, and Time Machine. It may well be a network issue, though. The first thing I'd try is Rebuilding the database (I have no reason to think anything's wrong with it, but it can't hurt).

Re: Any Lion Issues?
One observation about Bookends in Lion: I'm not sure whether this is down to me using a version of Sizeup updated for Lion: (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30721/sizeup), but previously Sizeup would mess up the display of BE's reference window (Carbon issue?) when shifting it across the screen. Now it doesn't, which is great. So this might mean window management software (Bettersnaptool, Cinch, Divvy etc) play nicely with BE now.
