BE12 slow scanning in Mellel 3.2.1

I have a large and complex document >40,000 words with 23 graphs, 7 equations 300 references 530 citations that takes for ever to scan. Admittedly this is the first scan using 12 but so far taken over 20 minutes and still not finished. In 11 the document took about 5 mins to scan. Has anybody else noticed slower behavior using 12 with Mellel?

update - just finished and it took 31 mins!

The number of words, images, etc. are irrelevant (to Bookends). It's only the number of citations that matters. Scanning is slower in Bookends 12 than 11 (due to formatting, not the scanning itself), but it shouldn't be that much slower. Make sure you've given Bookends enough database cache in preferences, then relaunch Bookends.

And make sure you have the latest build of 12.0.1. We did make quite a few enhancements in scanning speed in this update.

unscan and rescan took less than a minute after I updated cache from 30mb to 50mb
