How to migrate from Papers

I would like to migrate my Papers2 database (7200 references including about half with attachments) to BE.

What is the best strategy to achieve it with the minimum trouble?

Papers has an option to export to Bookends (I believe it's under the File menu). That should include sending links to attachments. That's the easiest way.
