Search Terms Highlighted in Notes?
Search Terms Highlighted in Notes?
Is there a way to perform a search through all notecards that then highlights the word(s) in the notecards?
Re: Search Terms Highlighted in Notes?
You can search notes (not highlighted text) via the live search field (select Notecards from the magnifying glass popup menu). It's won't highlight the found text. However, if you want to search the notecards of a particular reference, recall that they are kept in the Notes field, and you can do a Refs -> Find in Reference (or Refs -> Find in Notes, if the reference's Notes tab is showing). In this case, the found words will be highlighted.

Re: Search Terms Highlighted in Notes?
Thanks for that suggestion Jon.
I've just played around with it. It seems to only highlight the first occurrence of the search term in the notes. I've noticed that I can then do Cmd-G to move to the next occurrence so that's helpful.
Is there anyway to make this a feature request? In a long note stream having the words highlighted makes scanning through hundreds of references and notes a lot easier.

Re: Search Terms Highlighted in Notes?
I'm not sure exactly what the request is. To highlight the terms in each note card (the list at the right)? That's what Bookends displays when you search. After that it's no longer searching (i.e. when you double click on a notecard to edit it).
