Continuing Problems in Word

Previously, a scan would change all the formatting. Since then there have been a couple Word updates.

I now have the ability to scan without Word changing formatting, but all the images disappear!

Word 15.29.1, macOS 10.12.2, MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), docx format, images are PNG.

Also, reverting to Word 14.7.1 by saving as .doc and opening in that previous version, the same occurs: images are lost.

You really should be writing to Microsoft. There is still a bug in 15.29 with the paste function. It's pasting in the HTML contents of the clip, not the RTF contents. So the workarounds for Bookends are the same --

1. After the scan, select all and do a Paste -> Paste Special -> Formatted Text (RTF)

or

2. Save the document as RTF and scan that (this avoids going through the clipboard.

Please file a report with Microsoft. I just did again, too.
