Selecting a group as hits

Post by revans »

I've been through the User's Guide and haven't found the answer to my question, which is:

Is there a way to add all of the references in a Group to the Hit List? I have tried the Select All References command, which, as advertised, selects all of the references in the database. I have also tried the Select Range command, but it seems to determine the range using the reference id number.

I would like to be able to put all references in a group into the Hits group so I can (1) make global changes (which seems to require the reference to be selected as a "hit" and not just simply highlighted in List View) and (2) create bibliographies of groups using the Bibliography Formatter.

Also, a related question I have is I was wondering if there is any way to turn highlighted references in List View into Hits?

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it's very easy...

Hold down the Shift key and click on the check box of a selected reference -> now all selected references are hits (or not hits, depending on the checkbox you clicked in).

In 8.1.1, the Command-M keyboard command will have the same effect.
