Something wrong with highlight in v. 13?

Post by Sergio »

Although I'm very excited with the new version, I can't figure how to highlight text AND continue to see it. When I highlight, the result is that the text is hidden behind the highlight (as shown in the attached image).

I asked about this today too. Apparently it is a High Sierra bug that is fixed in the current High Sierra betas, which should be publicly available soon.

dan3213 is correct. This bug affects a lot of apps, not just Bookends. Expect to see the fix in High Sierra 10.13.2. BTW, the highlight is actually there and will show normally if you scroll far away and come back, or save and reopen the PDF.

Thanks!
For now I will continue to use PDF expert for highlighting. Waiting for the new High Sierra.
BTW, Jon, thanks for the new version.

It is not quite as bad as it seems because if you exit the PDF by going to another reference, and then reopen it, the highlighting is displayed properly. So it is stored correctly which just about makes it usable.
