I know we can hold shift+option to find out which groups a reference belong, but a feature I miss from Bibdesk is to display groups automatically when you select a reference in All or a group, without the need to hold two buttons.
Another feature I miss from Bibdesk is to display the number of paper in each group along with the title.
It would be great if we can have these two features soon!

#1 I doubt -- I for one would fine it distracting.
#2 -- can you post a picture of what you mean?

I would like to repeat the request of the OP to allow for highlighting the groups an entry belongs to without having to hold keys.
I can see why some may find it distracting, but I personally find it very useful.
Would it be possible to have a menu option somewhere so that it could be a toggle? That way if you do/don't like it, you can choose?
Cheers,
Theo

I'm not a fan. Frankly, I don't see the utility. But I'll record the request and when there's time I'll try to take a look and see if it doesn't degrade performance (searching through smart groups can be an expensive proposition if you have lots of them).
