working on formatted document w/o Bookends library

Post by MG »

I have a Word document with references on my work computer (which also has my Bookends library). Can I copy that document onto my laptop (which does not contain the Bookends library), modify the text, and then copy the document back onto my work computer without the referencing being a problem?

Yes.

In fact, you can even add temporary citations by hand and scan the document with Bookends at a later time. As in:

{Smith, 2004, A few words from the title or journal name or page or whatever}

The proofreading scan is very useful here to find/fix mistakes or typos you may have made.

Thank you Jon - you are helpful as always, and Bookends has to be just about the best application out there!
