Database Error: Embedded file "" is not opened

I get this message when trying to open my Bookends database.

Reindex gives the same message.
Repair cause Bookends to quit (Unexpected Quit message from OS)
Rebuild (both options) gives the DB Error message
Defragment and compact gives the DB Error message.

I'm running Bookends 8.1.1 and OSX 10.4.2.

My bookkends database has just over 2700 references.

Any suggestions?

My guess is that this db is damaged beyond repair. You can send it to me (stuffed) and I'll take a look...
