Bookends doesn't run in Catalina betas -- update

While Bookends runs and is useable with my current library, in the latest beta I cannot import files, either from the Bookends watch folder or via drag and drop. Bookends immediately crashes.

First, you should Rebuild your library. If that doesn't help you should send the crash log to tech support (support@sonnysoftware.com). Posting on the forum doesn't do any good.

Bookends crashes on the most recent PB of Catalina, I did multiple rebuilds. The library works just fine on Mojave.

It is an extensive crash log, but I will send mine shortly

I'm running it in the latest developer's beta and have experienced no problems so far. When you write to me tell me exactly what you did to see this crash.

Spoke too soon. I am indeed seeing semi random crashes in Catalina with PDFKit functions. These are bugs in Catalina, not Bookends, so we'll just have to wait until release and see if they're fixed.

For now, stay away from Catalina betas if you use Bookends.

It looks like Public Beta 8, which came out today, might have fixed it. I've been using Bookends exclusively on my iPad, since it kept crashing on my Mac (particularly when I tried to access any entry that had an attachment.)

After updating the beta, I was able to move around my library at will. I even highlighted some text in a PDF, just to test things. No crashes. So things are stabilizing on the beta (at least it looks like it!).
