Folders on iCloud

Post by JCwrites »

Currently all the references for multiple libraries are in iCloud.

Q: is this the 'correct' way to do this ? or should I have seperate folders for each library

I recently tried to set up a seperate folder for a library - however I get the attached response

help and advice appreciated, thanks in advance

No, that is not the way to do it. You can store your PDFs in iCloud Drive (or Dropbox, or wherever you like), but the libraries themselves should not be in a file sync folder of any kind == it is dangerous, and the most common cause of database corruption we see. Bookends cloud sync does NOT sync files, it syncs data (just the bits you add or change). It's much faster and safer than file sync We discuss this in the user guide in our our FAQ

Please move the library files to your HD (the default is in the Bookends folder in Application Support, but that's not required). Then let Bookends cloud sync do it's work.
