How does one batch change star ratings?

Post by kaderan »

Hello friends, sorry to be obtuse because I expect this is simple, but I cannot figure out how to apply a star rating to multiple selected references... only the first in the selected list gets modified. I have a pretty large star-rated system that I'm making some organizational changes to, and doing them one at a time is going to be painful. What's the trick?

There is no global change for that. However, you can do this by creating a column for Rating. You can add/remove stars directly in the column by clicking on the dots/stars. If you select more than one reference, the star rating you choose is applied to all of them.

You can apply this with any other way you have of organizing the references. For example, you could select a group, select all the references in it, then apply the same rating to all. This is just an illustrative example, there are may other ways to go.

Thanks, that's helpful. I vote for making this functionality a little more accessible in a future release (as it is for labels for example).
