Feature Request: padding between annotation toolbar and document

I like having the annotation toolbar on the left side of my iPad. I can annotate with my right hand and pencil, and I can change tools using my left hand. When the annotation toolbar is on the left side, it extends over the margin and text of the page that is being viewed.

Please consider allowing a defined margin between the annotation toolbar and the document when the annotation toolbar is on the left or the right side. Essentially, reduce the width for the document to account for the toolbar being on the left or right side. This would be helpful, especially in portrait mode editing.
