Disable grey tag bar above PDF reader view

Is there any way to disable the grey tag bar that appears above the PDF reader (in the "Attachments" view)?

Screen real estate is limited on my tiny laptop and it would be wonderful to get rid of this (for me) unnecessary clutter.

I actually played around with that idea some months ago, but got bogged down with other things. I've added it to the requested features list now.
