Hi,
I use a work computer (Mac desktop) and our IT department have changed how they manage them and have removed icloud access. I am no longer able to sign into icloud on my work computer.
I had Bookends set up with the PDF folder in icloud, and I also use Bookends ios.
I tried downloading my PDF folder to an external hard drive, and pointing my Bookends Library toward that - but BE crashes each time I try to open that LIbrary.
Any suggestions on how I might restore and reconfigure my Bookends Library? TIA
No icloud access, best way to set up library?
Re: No icloud access, best way to set up library?
There should be no problem using an attachment folder on an external hard drive. Please Rebuild your library. If you still have a crash, please contact support@sonnysoftware.com and include the crash log.

Re: No icloud access, best way to set up library?
Thanks Jon - I'll do this.
What is the best way to make my library portable in this case?
I'm on my work computer (no icloud access) about 80% of the time, but the other 20% I need to access my BE library from a personal laptop and sometimes home mac desktop. It's a bit unclear to me how best to set this up without icloud access.
Thanks

If you don't have cloud access the only way I can think of is sneaker net (copy the ibrary from one computer to another). The one thing you should not do is place the library in a file-share folder, because that will ultimately cause problems.
