Hi Jon,
One thing that has puzzled me for a while (and I seem to recall writing a similar post a while back) is how to best manage punctuation within BE format notations. I write again as I note in the release notes for the new Beta version you mention improved punctuation.
My problem is this. I have two books, both with a single author and a series title. One, however, has a place in the series, one is published without. The books are as follows:
Rousseau, Philip. 1985. Pachomius: The Making of a Community in Fourth-Century Egypt. The Transformation of the Classical Heritage, 6. Berkeley: University of California Press.
Elm, Susanna. 1994. “Virgins of Godâ€
Punctuation
Hi Jon,
Please forgive my ignorance, and correct me if I am wrong. Going through the BE 9 user guide a see that you have added binding quotes and a binding breaker. Unless I am mistaken, this is the way to get added flexibility in punctuation (and other things).
j|~, ~v . Seems to have done the trick.
This seems like a marvelous innovation. I could not find any reference to it on the forum. Perhaps it should be better announced, or am I the only one who did not know about this?
Kindest regards,
Shayne
