Volume/Issue Problem...

Post by Syllogism »

I'm encountering an issue with the volume/issue function in Bookends 9.0.2. It works correctly with the default journal article type, but does not work in custom types (or other existing types for that matter). For the record, "Include issue # with volume" is indeed unchecked.

When the type is set to Journal Article, I get this:

Code: Select all

Author, I. M. (2004). Title. Publication, 29(4), 653-69.
Copying the standard journal article format [a. (d). t. f, v(i~)~|~, ~p-`.`] into a user-defined type results in this:

Code: Select all

Author, I. M. (2004). Title. Publication, 29(4)(4), 653-69.
Suggestions?

For Bookends 9.0.2 to treat the Volume field as Vol(Issue), the Type must have the word "Journal" in it, must be "Magazine", or be named anything as long as that name replaces the current Journal Article (i.e. must be in the same "slot" in the list). If one of these conditions isn't met, Bookends treats the volume field as if it belonged to a book, edited book, etc.
