Importing from 7.7.5

Has anyone else faced the problem of trying to import a 7.x database to 9.x when 7.x no longer opens on Tiger ?

Here's the details:

I have Bookends 7.7.5. Upon installing 10.4 it no longer opens ("An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must shut down.").

Fine. The software won't work with Tiger. So I downloaded the newest version, 9.0.6.

First, I was miffed that my registration code wasn't accepted.

Second, 9.0.6 won't open my 7.7.5 database. It tells me to open the database in 7.x and export it to 9 format.

However, as previously mentioned, 7.x won't open on Tiger.

I now have a non-openable database containing hundreds of references.

--> I've sent a query to Support but any aid here is appreciated.

Version 7.7.5 runs just fine in Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4.x). The problem with the database is due to some other issue, and should be handled via tech support.

The package must have been corrupted on install of Tiger (?; perhaps the file transfer). Reinstalled with backup copy. Thx to Jon @ tech support for the help.
