request for pubmed imports

Post by jdien »

Hi,
I've found the ability to drag and drop in citations from Pubmed to be an enormous time saver! One request for a future version of BE is to have it handle quotation marks more smoothly. Right now, when I drag in a citation with quotation marks in the title or the abstract or wherever it turns into quot; I have to then remember to do a global search and replace. Would it be possible to have BE automatically do this?

Thanks!

Hi,

Can you give a url to such a citation? And what browser are you using? I assume you are importing by dragging the proxy icon, is that right?

sure thing!

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/quer ... med_docsum

I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.5 on OS X 10.4.8 (G5) and BE 9.0.8.

I drag the link over to BE, as in the names in the following citation:

15: Cohen L, Jobert A, Le Bihan D, Dehaene S. Related Articles, Links
Abstract Distinct unimodal and multimodal regions for word processing in the left temporal cortex.
Neuroimage. 2004 Dec;23(4):1256-70.

I got these from the search for: cohen and dehaene

Thanks!

Joe
