I've been using Bookends for a few months (it's great!), but this is my first post to the forum. So: hello!
I have a question about case in the formats manager. There is an option to choose a case for the 'title' (ie, 'as entered', 'Title Case', 'ALL CAPS', 'Sentence case'), which, as I'm sure you all know, affects the output of the main title and the short title (ie, the {t} field and the {s}). This means that, for a book reference, it is possible to enter the title into the database all in lower case, but to choose whether it is output as entered or with capitals (both of which are required options across various style guides).
However, this case formatting option does not affect the 'book title' field (which uses {v}), meaning that one is forced to enter ad hoc first letter capitals on words for this field, thus rendering that reference useless for another style guide which does not require first letter capitals, because there is no way for Bookends to know which words are allowed to be forced back into lower case (sentence case). Either all words are, or none are: proper nouns cannot be exempted.
This is somewhat frustrating, as the power of Bookends consists precisely in the ability to enter information in an unformatted manner, and have the software modify this information according to a particular format required at some point in the future. Is there a workaround, or some preference setting which I am missing which includes the 'book title' field as a type of title (which it clearly is)?
Many thanks.

Then please contact me directly and send a zipped db with just the one reference I can use as an example (support@sonnysoftware.com). But before you do, make sure that the format you are using is set to have title output as Title Case for the book chapter Type.
