I know the ! thing to get only (year), but do I have to enter authors manually to get author (year)?

No, the ! think is to remove all traces of the citation. The % thing gets you year-only.

Yes, you'd have to enter the author's name to get author (year), as in

As originally reported by Swe {%Swe, 2006, title and so on}...
