Bibliography sorting oddity

Post by paulhagstrom »

I'm trying out Bookends with a very simple database and a very simple Word document to see if I can get the basics down.

I have two references with the same author and year in the database.

I do a citation like this {smith, first; smith, second} (where "first" and "second" are words in the titles) and generate a bibliography with Oxford author-date. All proceeds as expected, it comes out as Smith 1992a; 1992b.

I change the sort order to "Author, date, title" and rescan. Even unscan and rescan. But what I get is: Smith 1992b; 1992a. The bibliography itself, at the bottom, lists Smith (1992b) before Smith (1992a).

This appears to be a bug, unless there's something I'm missing. Is this fixable on my end? I would prefer to have the titles sorted..

Hi,

Please zip your database, the modified format, and the document and send them to me, and I'll take a look.
