updated to 8.01 and lost my journal article titles

Help ... I just updated to Bookends 8.0.1 and have lost all the titles for my journal articles (authors, journal title, etc all preserved). They were all there in 8.0.0. -- unfortunately I overwrote that version. What to do?

I'm sorry, I don't understand. Please give a bit more detail. Upgrading to 8.0.1 should NOT cause you to lose any data.

The 'title' field in the database is blank (where once the title appeared) for all the articles in the database orginally created in 7.7.5 and imported into 8.0.0. I've imported a couple of new references into 8.0.1, and the title correctly appears.

Hm, I can't understand that unless the Bookends 8.0 database was damaged in some way -- 8.0.1 will not cause any data to be lost.

Can you re-import the 7.7.5 data? I can point you to a copy of 7.7.5 if you have thrown it away.

Perhaps you should contact me directly so we can sort this out.
