Hi Jon,
This has probably been asked before but had you thought of doing a Windows version? Two reasons - one, Valentina is cross platform, and two, the price Adept charge in the UK for Endnote is prohibitive for all save the most well endowed institutions. With such an excellent product you would clean up.
I've used it since it came on a single floppy - Bookends plus as it then was - and never felt the need to change. Unfortunately most universities in the UK are Windows based.
cheers,
Tacitus
Possible Windows Version
Possible Windows Version
History is a nightmare from which I am trying to escape.
I'm not jon but I use the same tools so I can add some comments about this. RB and Valentina is cross-plattform but that's only a start. To be able to write a windows programs there are a lot of things that needs to be handled, some are "trivial" like shortcuts, organisation of menus, etc. Other are more structurual like sheet windows, then there are things that doesn't exist on Windows but on Mac OS (or the other way around). Now add the support issues for another platform, other bibprograms on Windows ...
So I can understand jons decision to keep Bookends Mac only
