problems with color labels?

Post by ttasovac »

Hi.

I was wondering if anybody was experiencing these problems:

- when I apply a color label in the list view and then open the reference -- the color label doesn't show (stays default)
- if, then, i try to apply the same color in the reference view that I see in the list view, the color is applied in the reference view only and removed from the list view
- in either case, the color labels are not preserved after restart

Please let me know if you have any tips. I'm on a MacPro.

Also (once I solve the above problem) -- am I correct in assuming there is no way to create a dynamic group based only on color labels? With the keyboard shortcuts, applying color labels is a breeze and it would be great if these labels could be used for classifying things rather than for just looking pretty :)

(sql search doesn't offer a field called 'label' and the dynamic group search doesn't allow me to search for all records with a certain lable, but only for all records containing certain words, characters etc...)

All best,
T.

Hi,

I assume you're using 9.2.1?

The labels work here -- try rebuilding your database and see if that helps.

As for smart searches for labels -- it's there. Create a new smart group, name it, and set "where label is" to whatever you want.
